Copacabana is located to 156 Km. from the City of La Paz at an altitude of 3820 m.a.s.l. This town has permanently been a center of tourism and pilgrimage. The town is built around the spectacular Cathedral of Copacabana. The center of attraction in there is the image of the called Virgen Morena. Also visit the sacred Isla del Sol and also the mysterious ruins of the fountain of eternal youth.
The tour start in La Paz, the transport from La Paz to Copacabana is in a shared Tourist bus La Paz – Copacabana – La Paz or Puno (If you are heading to Peru, you can take the bus to Puno instead of going back to La Paz), we use a shared Boat to go to the Isla del sol and an English speaking guide will be with you during the tour. In Copacabana you will have time for lunch (this is included in the tour, we also have veggie options) Entrance Fees are included. Arriving to La Paz a taxi will you take you to your hotel (central area) and that’s included in the price too.
